Today, you will explore the forests, open plains, and riverbanks of the expansive Nyerere National Park (formerly known as the Selous Game Reserve) — a spectacular destination for game viewing. Located in southern Tanzania, this park receives far fewer tourists than the northern circuits, yet it is home to elephants, hippos, crocodiles, lions, leopards, giraffes, endangered rhinos, the elusive African wild dog, and much more. As the second-largest park in Tanzania after the Serengeti, expect to travel long distances during your safari with Tanzania Wildlife Voyages.

It’s the final day of your trip! Savour the last moments before you depart for Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam to catch your flight home. Not ready to leave yet? You can easily extend your adventure with a relaxing escape to the paradise islands of Zanzibar, Pemba, or Mafia with Tanzania Wildlife Voyages!
Absolutely incredible experience from start to finish! Our guide was knowledgeable and passionate about South Africa. The Kruger safari exceeded all expectations — we saw the Big Five within the first two days. The wine tasting in Franschhoek was a wonderful bonus.
A well-organized tour that covers all the highlights of South Africa. The accommodations were comfortable and the pace was just right. Victoria Falls was breathtaking. Only minor suggestion would be more free time in Cape Town. Overall, highly recommended!
This was the trip of a lifetime! The sunset cruise on the Zambezi was magical, and seeing penguins at Boulders Beach was unforgettable. Every detail was taken care of. Our guide made us feel like family.
